Intent

The Geography curriculum at Honeywell Infant School aims to provide all children with the skills, knowledge and understanding they need in order to:

• Develop a long lasting curiosity about the world and the wide variety of different people in it
• Acquire geographical knowledge of the UK and the local area
• Understand the physical and human features of the world
• Interpret a range of geographical information e.g. maps, globes, aerial photos
• Collect and discuss information through observation/fieldwork
